Beattie Ford Road Vocational Trade Center

Works to provide students who are unemployed, underemployed, living at or below the poverty level or re-entering the community from incarceration with skill in traditional and non-traditional trades. These skills will enable students to obtain permanent employment and compete for advancement in the job market.

The Bridge

Provides onsite health resources and testing (pregnancy testing, blood pressure testing, A1C testing), low-cost clinic services for common illnesses, wellness checks, health screenings, employment exams, vaccinations, and health education, and access to comprehensive healthcare, primary care, specialty care, labs, diagnostic tests and hospital services for uninsured or underinsured patients.

YWCA

Offers women and children safe shelter and affordable housing with transitional services that offer a hand up rather than a handout; helps women gain solid footing and break out of the cycles of violence and poverty.

Girls Scouts

Builds courage, confidence, and character in girls to empower them to make the world a better place.

Legal Aid of North Carolina

Assists people in the Charlotte, North Carolina, region who cannot afford legal services, but
desperately need them.

The Bulb

Works as an onsite market that provides mostly local produce, as well as health and wellness education, and simple demo cooking classes to identified food insecure neighborhoods. Provides pop-up farmers market at the Grier Heights Community Center on Wednesdays from 4P – 6PM.
