Full-time/Part-time Position

About Us: CrossRoads Corporation for Affordable Housing and Community Development provides support and services to the Grier Heights Community. We strive to employ a comprehensive approach to developing affordable housing and ensuring that community residents live into their fullest potential. We are seeking a motivated and dynamic individual to join our team as a Part/Time or Full-Time Director of Philanthropy.
Job Description: The Director of Philanthropy will be responsible for planning, developing, and executing the organization’s fundraising and development activities primarily related to individual giving and helping to identify additional corporate and foundation supporters. This role will work closely with the Executive Director, the grant writer, existing team members and Board of Directors to ensure the financial health and sustainability of the organization.
Key Responsibilities:
Develop and implement a comprehensive fundraising strategy to meet annual revenue goal of at least $1.3M.
Cultivate and manage relationships with donors, sponsors, and community partners. Focusing on increasing support from individual donors.
Organize and/or assist with organization fundraising events and campaigns. •
Identify and/or assist with identifying and pursuing opportunities including preparing and submit grant applications and funding proposals. •
Maintain accurate records of donations, pledges, and donor information using a relationship management system like Salesforce. •
Create and distribute marketing materials to promote fundraising initiatives; create and distribute communications to keep donors, supporters and broader community informed of our efforts and impact. •
Collaborate with staff to identify funding needs and priorities. • Provide regular reports on fundraising progress to the Executive Director and facilitate engagement of Board Fundraising Committee.
Works with grant writer to secure funding.
Qualifications:
Minimum of 3 years of experience in fundraising or development, preferably in a nonprofit setting.
Proven track record of successful fundraising from individual donors and ability to manage donor relationships.
Strong organizational and project management skills.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and fundraising software (e.g., DonorPerfect, SalesForce, Raiser’s Edge).
Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
